CyberSaathi ("we", "our", "us") provides a chatbot and related services to help users with cyber safety and cybercrime guidance. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information we collect
User-provided data: messages you send to the chatbot (text only), optional contact details if you provide them for follow-up.
Device & usage data: basic device info, IP address, timestamps, and usage logs for service health and debugging.
No sensitive data collection: do not send passwords, credit card numbers, or highly sensitive personal health data. If you do, we may log it only to the extent necessary to investigate abuse but we do not intentionally store or process payment or health records.
2. How we use your information

Service providers (hosting on AWS, analytics, email delivery) who process data on our behalf.
Legal authorities when required by law, or to protect rights, property or safety.
4. Where data is stored & retention
Data is hosted on AWS (EC2) in the region specified in our infrastructure. We retain logs and chatbot data for troubleshooting and product improvement; retention periods vary but we aim to minimize storage time. Contact us to request deletion or export.
5. Security
We use standard security practices (HTTPS/TLS, server-side updates, restricted access) to protect data. However no system is 100% secure; in case of a breach we will notify affected users and authorities as required by law.
